A Caring Day Nursery in Leeds
Little Beanies Day Nursery provides high-quality childcare and early years education for babies and children aged 0–5 years from our nursery on Wellington Road in Leeds.
Located just outside Leeds city centre, we are conveniently placed for families living or working in Leeds, including Armley, New Wortley, Wortley and the surrounding areas.
Our aim is simple: to provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to learn, play and grow.

We believe that the people caring for your child are at the heart of a great nursery.
Our experienced Early Years team is passionate about creating a welcoming, home-from-home environment where children can feel secure, develop confidence and build positive relationships.
From our nursery management team and room leaders to our nursery assistants, SENCO support and nursery chef, everyone at Little Beanies plays an important part in providing the highest standard of care for the children who join us.
We take the time to get to know every child as an individual, learning about their personality, interests, routines and developmental needs. This helps us provide activities and experiences that encourage their development while allowing them to progress at their own pace.
Learning Through Play
Children learn an enormous amount through play, exploration and their everyday experiences.
At Little Beanies Day Nursery, our approach follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing opportunities for children to develop their communication, physical abilities, social skills, creativity, independence and confidence.
From stories, painting and imaginative play to building, exploring and spending time outdoors, our activities are designed to make learning enjoyable and engaging.
As children develop, our team observes their interests and progress so that activities can be adapted and extended, helping each child take their next steps.

Childcare for Babies, Toddlers and Pre-School Children
Every stage of a child’s early years brings different needs, experiences and milestones.
Our Leeds nursery provides childcare for children from babies through to pre-school age, with age-appropriate environments, routines and activities designed around each stage of development.
For our youngest children, establishing familiar routines and secure relationships is particularly important. As children grow, we introduce new opportunities to explore, communicate, become more independent and learn alongside other children.
For our older children, activities increasingly help develop the confidence, communication and practical skills that support a positive transition towards school.

We understand how important it is for parents to know that their child is happy and well cared for.
Safeguarding and children’s wellbeing are central to everything we do at Little Beanies. Our team works to create an environment where children feel comfortable, secure and able to be themselves.
We also recognise that starting nursery is a big step for both children and their parents. Our settling-in process allows us to learn about your child’s routines, preferences and individual needs while helping them gradually become familiar with their new surroundings and the people caring for them.

Working in Partnership with Parents
Parents and carers know their children better than anyone, which is why communication between home and nursery is so important.
From your child’s first settling-in sessions onwards, we aim to build an open and supportive relationship with you.
Sharing information about routines, interests, achievements and development helps us provide consistent care while allowing you to remain closely involved in your child’s nursery experience.
Every child also has a dedicated Key Person who gets to know them particularly well and provides an important point of contact between nursery and home.
